Because We Exist and We Belong -

At MBS.Tech, we believe that tech is more than just an industry—it’s a gateway to equity, opportunity, and generational transformation. Our journey began with a simple but powerful mission: to break down the systemic barriers that have kept Black and underserved communities out of high-wage tech careers.

Founded by cybersecurity expert, educator, and researcher Miranda Stanfield, MBS.Tech started as a grassroots effort to close the digital divide through education and empowerment. As a Black woman in cybersecurity with more than a decade of federal government experience—from the White House to the Department of Justice—Miranda knew firsthand how transformative access to technology and training could be.

What began with workshops and small community programs has grown into a national movement to secure $100 million in Black tech salaries through certification-based training, career prep, mentorship, and industry connections. From youth in Detroit learning cybersecurity basics to adults pivoting into Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) careers, our impact is real—and just getting started.

Today, MBS.Tech equips learners at all stages with the tools they need to enter, grow, and lead in cybersecurity and IT. Whether you're just beginning or making a career shift, you belong in tech—and we’re here to make sure you have the skills, support, and community to thrive.

2021
The Foundation: Career Readiness for the Culture
MBS.Tech launches with resume revamps, career coaching, and mock interview services to help aspiring tech professionals break into the industry. Founder Miranda Stanfield sees firsthand how overlooked, underpaid, and underestimated Black professionals need more than information—they need strategy, support, and opportunity.
2022
The Groundwork in Cyber
Miranda begins offering cybersecurity fundamentals and GRC coaching for career changers. Her blend of federal experience and grassroots teaching sets a new standard in inclusive tech training.
2023
Youth Activation Begins
MBS.Tech launches its first Summer Youth Program in Baltimore, MD—introducing kids to cybersecurity through hands-on, engaging learning experiences and building a pipeline of early exposure.
2024
Breakout Year
MBS.Tech launches its high school program, partners with WCCCD, presents at Cyberjutsu Day, and publishes two academic papers. Featured at AfroTech, the team launches the $100M Black tech salary impact goal.
2025
The Movement Goes National
The HBCU Tech Tour is announced—bringing cybersecurity education, resume reviews, and career connections directly to campuses across the country.
