Miranda Stanfield of MBS.Tech had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with InternXL, Fund II Foundation and AfroTech to support a talented group of college students preparing for an AI Pitch Competition. This initiative equipped students with the skills, confidence, and tools needed to present innovative AI solutions that address real-world challenges with equity and inclusion at the forefront.
Through engaging training sessions, workshops, and personalized mentorship, Miranda guided participants in refining their ideas and crafting impactful pitches. Miranda Stanfield had the incredible opportunity to teach cybersecurity to a group of enthusiastic young learners at Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD) in Detroit. The event focused on introducing kids to the exciting world of cybersecurity, fostering curiosity, and equipping them with foundational knowledge and skills to navigate the digital landscape safely.

2024 MBS.Tech Ballou STAY High School IT Certification Program
As of June 2024, MBS.Tech was awarded Overall Program of the Year for its amazing program at Ballou STAY High School!
MBS.Tech has developed an IT/Cybersecurity Program at Ballou STAY High School, designed by Miranda Stanfield. The program is located in Ward 8, which is one of the areas in Washington, D.C., facing significant challenges due to crime and poverty. This program aims to transform students through education by providing essential skills for the digital age. The program provides a comprehensive introduction to cybersecurity and information technology. It is designed to prepare students for the CompTIA A+ certification exam, an important step towards a career in IT. Beyond technical instruction, the program prioritizes preparing students for the workforce through development sessions, encompassing mock interviews, workshops on professional attire, and refining resumes to ensure their readiness for job search. Additionally, the curriculum is enhanced with field trips that are directly related to classroom instruction, providing students with valuable real-world insights and experiences. This program not only opens doors to career opportunities for students in one of the city's most underserved communities but also empowers them with the confidence and skills to thrive in the fast-evolving field of IT and cybersecurity.
